The need to knows...........

We’ve tried to answer the most frequently asked questions below, but if there’s something we haven’t covered that you want to know, just give us a shout.

You can call us on 01568 720371 or email Moira at

Is there a minimum stay?
We have a two night minimum stay. Just enough time to relax before you head back to the real world.

Do you welcome children?
We have just one 6m x 4m bell tent pitched in the meadow. We'll happily welcome mini-glampers in the tent. We add single beds with linens and duvets. You still don't need to bring extra stuff!

If you are staying in the tent and
want to gather a couple of your favourite camping loving people, then they'd be welcome to pitch their own tent in the meadow for £15 a night.  We ask that you contact us before arranging dates.
Archers Cottage is strictly only for grown ups!

What We Offer....
A break away from it all should be a deliciously luxurious experience. Part of that means having the feeling it’s just you and the countryside. It’s why we only have one tent. You can luxuriate in the feeling of space and openness you only get when camping and not have to worry about the neighbours!

The cottage is next to our house but has it's own private entrance so you can snuggle away undisturbed.

What do we need to bring?
In the tents and cottage we provide bed linen and cosy feather duvets, towels, glasses, crockery, cutlery and kitchen utensils. All you really need to bring are your toothbrush and a good book.
The tents do have wood burners but if you are someone who feels the cold, we suggest you pack PJ's and a warm jumper to wear during the evenings. We are happy to provide baskets of logs for the wood burner and/or fire pit for £5 - don't forget the marshmallows!

Archers Cottage is fully centrally heated with a well equipped kitchen and shower room. There is also WiFi, Netflix and a coffee machine. Both kitchens have a microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge.

Can we bring our dog?
We’re sorry, but we don’t allow dogs..... Well, to be more precise, our cats – Holmes & Chamberlain– don’t allow dogs. We’ve put the “no dogs” rule in place to ensure our cats keep speaking to us.

We ask for 21 days clear notice to cancel or amend your booking. We understand that life can sometimes throw up a surprise & we try to be understanding but we are a small site so we can't offer a refund for a late cancellation.

What times do we check in and check out?
You can check in any time after 3pm. We ask you to 'checkout' before 10.30am and we hope you’ll leave feeling rested and relaxed and already planning your next stay with us.

We're very happy for small groups to book the tent and the cottage for a stay but please remember that this is our home. We are lucky to live in a peaceful, rural space and sound carries. If you are after somewhere you can party a little harder (we don't judge!), then we'll happily recommend places. While children are very welcome, we do gently ask that they aren't encouraged to use the cottage as a base to watch TV or run about.
